Development Exchange Center (DEC) Nepal is the implementing agency of the “Helping Young Chepang Women Leaders to Promote Gender Responsive Governance in Nepal” project supported by the United Nations Democracy Fund (UNDEF). The project aims to strengthen gender-responsive democratic local governance that respects the rights of marginalized and indigenous women in two municipalities- Icchakamana and Kalika- of Chitwan. The project will follow a three-pronged approach of empowerment of rights holders, promoting accountability of duty bearers and increased civil society capacity for promoting social accountability. This project builds on the results achieved by the previous UNDEF funded project UNDEF funded project UDF-NEP-13-566, implemented by the same organization in 2015-2016.
